ignore all the people saying game is broken. i have a ati radeon 2600xt, a 2.4ghz quad core processor, and 3 gb of ram. This game runs perfectly(if your computer can run it).

PROS

Its a great game dont get me wrong, I played many games Like this. GTA IV,Saints row, Saints row The Third, and so on.
It had its prime but now its worn down, but still enjoyable. Very nice game. Every shot fired, every cop killed, every stunt jump made... Has something enjoyable in it.

CONS

Its old. Not REALLY old,Like the Hobbit but Old. I prefer SRtT But hey Im not doing a review on that am I? So the cons are :More realistic than some games, Gets boring somewhat soon, need respect to advance on.

I have windows 7 64 bit and it works perfectly. I have a very good gaming pc also, so maybe your pc is not good enough to run the game if you are having problems. The actual game itself is amazing. I have poured countless hours into this game and the only games I love more than the Saints Row games are the Elder Scrolls games and the Fallout games. There is just so much to do in SR2 and the city is huge and open for you to explore. While the first Saints Row was clearly a GTA clone, the second one is completely different than GTA, and in my opinion better. I would highly recommend this game if you can get it working.

i never thought i would take the time to write a review on any of the gamess offered on this site but after seeing alot of the comments about this game i felt i really needed to first off to all the people having problems with this game i am running win 7 proffesional 64 bit and this game works great so either your computer lacks the specs needed for playing it or you messed up the download i recamend checking your system specs and uninstally the game then trying to reinstall it now as far as the game goes i rate this a solid 8 if your a gta fan you will love this game the only downside i have found with this game overall is driving seems really jerky but its understandable sense pc controls dont really allow for the smoth movement that councles do with that said this is a free game give it a shot if you like it great if not well there are pletty of great games out there for you to try and enjoy hope this was helpfull ya all have a great day and enjoy

This game was pretty cool until you started doing the mainline quests. Then it would let you finish but would kick you out after the movie. Sad, I hope SR 3 is better.

To the guy who said " ignore other low reviews blah blah blah if you have a decent computer this game will run.." My computer specs have a large edge on yours and this game simply won't run for me. So it sounds like the majority of members are having trouble with errors. I hope they fix the errors soon, because the game seems like it would be fun.

The stearing on the cars are out of control and the fact that you have to "lvl up" to do more story is annoying considering the racing game was too hard, from the poor controls of the vehicle, and the body guard mission was difficult too. Considering this is after only 2 starting missions, this game is not meant for someone who isnt patient and wants to get it on the first try. If I played this game before I played Saints Row the Third, I would have never tried out the third one.

Im sure its a great game, but i guess i really wouldn't know since it constantly crashes. Every time i complete a mission it crashes. Its not my internet or computer, im running a alienware m17x and awesome internet speeds. I tried everything to fix the game but nothing has worked. If you plan on downloading this, plan on it crashing. That is why its free.

Played and got past the intro mission (breaking outta prison) i played the first mission i got done getting clothes at the second hand store and I was on my way to the second place to the bar and the road way was glitched (I.E. the roadway dropped down and when you try to drive over it your car is frozen and your character dissapear and your stuck there.)I would recommend ignoring the other reviews that say a computer with good hardware works with the game as i have a good computer to be used with gaming (an amd radeon HD 7660G, with 2.3 quad core processor, with 6 gigabytes ram) and it doesnt work as it should not to mention there are reviews scatter aroundhe net that say the game is very buggy.

Cons
-Controls are wonky
be prepared to spend 30+ min rebinding keys, adjusting mouse sensitivity,figuring out the map, etc

- it''s impossible to drive well w/ a keyboard/mouse setup
it was so jerky, since you dont use your mouse to steer like you do while running, (you use A and D, W accelerates S reverses) even w/ cruise control( mine was set to c by default even though the tip said it was SPACE.) it's dissorientating and is sure to give you some degree of motion sickness or in the least a head ache.

- Stammina is incredibly short lived.
stammina, which you use to sprint ( which is how i had to get around often due to the mentioned shoddy driving), depletes incredibly fast

Pros
+nice custimization
you can make your character look EXACTLY how you want i mean there must have been 40 adjustment scales for your face alone in character design.

+progression feels nice/ good pace
i sat down for 5 hours, and when i was able to get from point A to point B i felt as though i was making good progress.

+ as far as tutorials go this was a decent one.
the initial tutorial felt good, and even w/o playing the First game, and only watching a few videos, ad watching a friend play the 3rd installment i had a decent grasp of what was going on


All in all 4/10 the post "dont listen to any other post" is fairly right dont expect to be wowed by this pc version, i'm not even bringing up the fact that this finished downloading to my brother, who was excited for this, i think it would be to much of a dissapointment for him

Great Game!

Works fine on my computer, however after playing for a couple of weeks I am stuck at a mission with the ronin gang and everrytime I get half way through, there is a cut scene that is all black and never returns to the game. Oh well....such a sweet game. Love the body physics, much more rag doll than GTA.

Don't listen to any score other than this score! I'm pretty sure the others are talking about the console versions, because this version ..! I don't care if its free! Want good gameplay? Get some terrible graphics! Wha, you say you want good graphics, that'll just make this TOTALLY un-playable! Your enemy is not the police,not rival gangs, not even other players, but DAT CAMERA!! Just get a console version...

The game is overall fun, specialy with friends to screw around with. but I highly suggest you use a controller as driving, you either make a sharp left turn, or a sharp right turn.

I loved this game on the ps3 and Ive played them all... I recommend it almost as much as the Gta series...simply awsome!
