This game brought me back to my childhood! It works just like the old Roller Coaster Tycoon used to. Love it! I have Windows 7 and it worked perfectly fine for me!

My cousin and i would play this for hours and hours and hours and I lost my disks when i moved and was so sad. When I found it on here I was overjoyed! now i get to play for hours and remember the good ol days w/ my cousin

Thank you, Gamefly! You've made my week. This is one of my favorite games of all time and I've been trying to find my old disks to try to get them work again.

And then I check Gamefly and there is it! I was excited enough to restart my membership.

The game plays exactly like it should, with a few small glitches. The text boxes are off - you can't really read them, but you can still type in them. This isn't a problem if you don't rename anything. The other problem I've found is that if you are running f.lux the screen will flicker when the colors starts to adjust. I've been using the disable function on f.lux while playing the game.

I remember as a kid staying up all night building out my parks...Well at the age of 30, i did that last night, time flew by. Nothing like a classic java game

Love the game!
Sadly, it is only RCT 1.
To make this work on windows 7, right-click the shortcut, then click 'properties', then click 'compatability' (at the top) and check the 'run in compatability mode' box. Make sure the drop-down says "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)"
The game should now run properly.
I also suggest clicking on the 'floppy disk' icon and selecting 'options' and changing the screen resolution, so that you can see more and display more windows at one time.

There is a bug when renaming something, the fonts do not display properly. This is only visual, however, and you can still type in the name you want just as you would if you could read the text. The button on the bottom-left is "OK" and the bottom-right is "Cancel". The window displays slightly better if you check the "Disable visual themes" and "Disable desktop composition" boxes in the same window "compatability mode" was found in.

Game hint: Pay back loans after you've finished building some of the park, they cost interest every month and bring down your net worth!

I used to have this when I was younger and never really understood how to play. Now that I do it's actually pretty fun and for unlimited play you can't really go wrong.

This game is very good! Also, the fact that it works on windows 7 is a plus. This game is filled with fun and, I could play it 24/7.
The reason I didn't give this a 10 is because, Its not as modern but I cant blame Atari, this game was made a while ago. Another reason is because, some times audio is messed up and glitches still happen with the rollercoasters that haven't been fixed.
