Very Good

More than the sum of its parts

Puzzle Quest is a surprisingly fun game but it does have some slight problems. On one hand its story is engrossing but on the other you'll do as much reading as a short novel. Game play is fun but the menu system could have been tweeked a bit more before release. And although wins and losses seem random at some times, the whole of the game will keep you coming back.
Without a doubt this is worth downloading on a rainy afternoon.

Very Good

Not bad, for passing time when bored.

Addictive, somewhat like Tetris.

Puzzle Quest is a strange amalgamation of other parts. On one hand: it's a deep lore rich fantasy game in the vein of Might & Magic. On the other: it's a simple, connect three puzzle game with competitve leaderboards. These things shouldn't work, and yet they do; much in the way Peanut Butter & Banana fit together to make one of the most delightful sandwitches in the western world. The game does have it's issues: a bland 2d art style, a connect 3 board that attempts to accomplish a bit too much, not enough character customization, and some cheap random boards that will lose you more than your fair share of boss battles. But overall, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is an exeptional title, and one you shouldn't miss if your a fan of either of it's parts.
