Having finished my first run of ME3 I am left lost and confused. Don't want to spoil it, but the ending is bad...and leaves a bad impression. Can't go to much into it since it might spoil it. The game it self is good. Combat is top notch, lots of gun play and sniping a guys head off is always fun ;). The story is also good, get to meet a few faces from ME1 and ME2. The conversation is not has involved as ME2... you don't have too many choices to pick from like in ME1 and 2...which feels strange. Not sure where the game went wrong...or why some of the things we were told we would get are not there...for a series that says every decision is important... it comes down to meaning nothing at the end. After DA2 and ME3...not sure what has happened to Bioware. Until they fix the ending...I cant give it a getter rating.

I would highly recommend that you play Mass Effect 2 before you play this game, as this is a series where choices you have made in the previous games can have a significant impact on the story you experience in this game. ME3 is way better if you play with a save imported from 2.

Now, with that out of the way, we can talk about ME3. It is difficult to overstate how great the story for ME3 really is. There are several points during the story where I had to stop and think about the possible ramifications of my decisions before choosing, and a couple points where the result of my "right" decision was truly painful to watch. The opening cutscene had me hooked almost instantly and the beginning of the end sequence may just be about the most epic thing I have ever seen.

The combat improves upon the groundwork laid down in 2, although if you play in "Narrative" mode, it is super easy, while still being satisfying. The weapons upgrade system is also better than it was in 2 and a lot more customizable to ones preferred playstyle.

If I had to describe in one word the difference between ME3 and the previous games it would be "streamlined". Planet scanning is gone, replaced by a system that can scan multiple planets in a system. The bypass/hack minigame that was in 2 and 1 is gone as well(it was really only fun the first 100 times you did it anyways lol) replaced with a slightly longer player animation.

Side missions unrelated to the main story are pretty much gone as well and the remaining side missions are both fun and important to the main narrative.

Sadly, all of this awesomeness really falls apart at the end. 99% of the game is great, but may be completely ruined by the last 1%. Still, I maintain that this is a fantastic game in a fantastic series and I highly recommend that you get it. (but only if you play ME2 first)

the last 15min of the game actualy ruin the entire series. Nothing done in the past really matters, so many question, too many plot holes and no choice of ending. (You got 3x 95% the same ending minus around 10sec of different scene. There is no really good or really bad ending.) After completing ME3 I sat down depress, frustrated to see that all my over 60hours of gaming through the series end like THAT..., it destroyed any wish to replay. THINK IM ALONE? THERE IS TENS OF THOUSAND OF PLAYER LIKE ME UNITING THEMSELF ON SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORK TO PROTEST AND GET NEW ENDING FROM BIOWARE. After that, i got to say that i enjoyed the game until the last 15min. Graphic, sound and main story are great but theres lots of plots hole in mid game and incredible ones at the end but can't tell without spoiling. To conclude just think: when 15 minutes ruins not only a single game but an entire series, enraging fan world wide and make them mobilised against the company created it, there is a serious problem.
