L.A. Noire for PC Reviews by Gamers

I tried everything to get this game to run.I followed all the instructions from varies online sites...
Just will not launch...

I hope that the support tech will read this because they havent been helping with my questions on how to get this to run. i am sure it is a great game but nothing i can do will make this game run. i even called rockstar support and they said that everything should be working well and that it is the gamefly launcher that is not working. i got a great deal on a supposidly great game! i just hope this issue gets resolved soon.

Purchase online and tried to run - keep getting error saying my graphics card isn't supported. No ocumentation for this issue, no explanation. Lame.

It apparently installs just fine, but it simply doesn't launch. You can see the LANoire.exe process in the task manager sucking up CPU cycles but that's all it does. I've tried every fix available and an hour or two worth of random stabs in the dark but nothing has worked. I just got ripped off, I fear.

if you have trouble getting the game to work, make sure you update the game from rockstar's website and install directx 9 onto your computer

First off, previous reviews have shown that the game had difficulty installing. Upon a recent update, apparently gamefly has recognized the outcry of missing files/patches and now recent downloads from their beta client have been successful in installing.

For those who have purchased the game earlier with no success of installing, uninstall and delete all LA Noire files from your PC (even from C:\Users\xxxxx\Documents\GameFly\downloads\60648611). This will allow gamefly client to realize you need to download the files again from them. And from this, just install the game like any other.

As for the game, I've been playing it non-stop! Great story! Easy to get into gameplay! and the graphics are amazing! If you're wondering how smooth it is on your PC compared to GTA4, it's much smoother. To this day, GTA4 is still sluggish on my PC, but I can run LA Noire at 60FPS on quality settings! Don't pass this game up! I purchased this game for $5 during the summer sale! This is well worth the asking price and then some!

Please don't let the previous reviews of "not being able to install the game" be a deterrent from a great game!
