The most fun I've had in years

The visual details in this game are simply stunning. The world, quite literally, comes alive around you. As you wander the wilderness, plants come to life near you. The more magic you use, bigger, and more, plants will come to life, and actually lean towards you.

The volume of lore, also, is truly astounding (I mean, come on ... R.A. Salvatore wrote 10k years worth of history for Amalur).

The combat is fluid and exciting, and far more gratifying than many other games out there (Insead of: "click click click click click done." Not here! It's more like: "dodge, attack, roll left, roll right, attack, roll left, swap weapons, attack, roll back, attack with a spell, roll forward, attack". It's just ... fun!)

I can't recommend this game enough.

Nowhere in the store page does it state that Origin is required to play this game. The Steam version doesn't require it. I refuse to install EA's spyware on my computer. As a result, I've wated the price of this game. If you don't want Origin, avoid buying this game from GameFly.

This games forground and background artwork detail is remakable and in my opinion unsurpassed by any other game I've played in years.
