Does not work in Windows 8

Upgraded to Win 8 Pro. IL-2:COD does not work in Win 8 and Ubisoft/1C have emailed me explaining that there is no fix or patch in the works for this sim to enable it to work in the new OS version. Steam works fine up until the time you start IL-2:COD.

I cannot comment on IL-2:FB or other earlier versions of this franchise.
