first off id like to say the guy who wrote the "save your money" review is equal to a guy trashing on the iphone for not having enough apps. seriously hes got no clue what hes talking about. he had an issue with making money in game, not a problem at all. your not pushed into buying gems at any point.
its a typical rpg and its made really well. theres like 5 races of people you can pick from, each having like 8 different types of sub-characters (ie. ranger, warrior, thief, necro, etc.) From there you can customize, pick your server, and then your off. Ingame theres a lot to do; tradeskills, fighting, exploring (enormous map) and the whole thing runs very smooth and seemless. And honestly if your having a lot of trouble mostly anyone will help you out ingame. theres plenty of good guilds that will help you progress. the guild system is really cool as well, thats a whole other story though.
its a little expensive, yes, but at least its not monthly like most of these games are. if you like indepth rpg youll dig it.
