Guild Wars 2 Standard Edition for PC Reviews by Gamers

This game did not turn out to be what I expected. To be fair this game has potential and runs great. Most of the gameplay is fun, at least leveling up and group events. The real problems I found with the game are one's I don't believe should exist. The game is free to play, great. Well what they do is make it neigh impossible to earn money in game at a decent rate, then they allow you to buy gems in game which you then can convert into gold. Meanwhile they nerf any good ways to farm in game money and ban bots and gold sellers, so you're all but forced to buy gold from them unless you want an unbearable experiance. So unfortunately what this translates into is the game is free to play by play I mean "endure", but if you want fun your going to pay with ether time or cash in thier store.

As if that wasn't bad enough they put in mechainics on things like dungeons and karma which give you soulbound items (account bound for those who don't know) which cannot be sold and can only be used by you. This is great but they put diminishing on how many tokens you get from completeing a dungeon if you run it multiple times in a row. They also seem to nerf dungeon loot drops and even farming loot if you farm too much.

All I can claim for me in this game that was a fun experiance is the leveling up process, it was fun and I didn't have any real gripes about it besides the lack of money I made while doing it. Everything else though sucked, no real pve endgame, pvp remains very unbalanced favoring warriors and thieves and with the way Arenaet addresses in game issues I don't feel like waiting around for a fix that isn't coming for this game, they want you to pay to win but they won't admit it.
