First of all for me using gamefly is primarily for renting games on the ps3 and 360 so playing pc games falls onto the back burner. A large portion of this is due to having only a laptop to use and many games are rather difficult to play on the laptop either because of poor hardware or needing a better mouse set up.
This is where Flatout really shines the game works great on lower end computers there is no need for a mouse and most importantly is a lot of fun. While the graphics are dated the controls and music are excellent and the core mechanics are solid. The "just have fun" mentallity of the game is great for pick up and play. The races are the right length and building up your car really feels like it makes an impact from race to race. While the races themselves are good the game really shines when playing the bonus games; very few things are as fun as launching your driver into a long jump pit or seeing how high you can make him soar in the air for points.
The only complaint I'd have of the game is lack of vehicles. There really isn't a large variety but the game doesn't suffer from it.
