Perfect

fantastic game, classic title

This is a FANTASTIC game, granted, it is rather dated, this is an absolute must play for true gamers of all ages. As much as I loved fallout 3, somehow the newer generation of these open-ended games is just missing something... hard to say what exactly, but anyway, this is an amazing experience! if it feels boring, don't dispair! just keep playing a bit longer... once you get over the fact that it's an old game, you'll see what I mean... if not, just go back to playing mario cart or whatever and relax... after all, it's not like you had to pay for the game.....

Missing the original (ddraw.dll) that came with the software.

NOTE > the (ddraw.dll) controls the pixelated and color issues. On (ALL systems x32 and x64 win 95 - Win 8 x64) under the 16bit color mode.

This is also a small problem if you are running the sfall (screen resolution changer)

This game is awful on the game fly pc rental

I do belive this game is good but i cant play it. I down load it under the pc renter an it is glitching very badly. I play the 3rd an new vegas an i wanted to play the first games.

If you're less concerned about graphics and more concerned with gameplay and story, give this a shot.
Most people have probably played 3 and New Vegas first, so you should try the original that started it all.
Then give 2 a try, it's even more fun!

I feel obligated to write this just to offset the rating of '1' given by the obvious troll on page one.

Simply put, the gameplay is incredibly deep while the plot is one of the best in gaming history.

The game is a 10 but this is unplayable. Too bad because this is one of the greatest games of all time. But it runs like dog poo.

This review is for the quality of the download, not the game itself. Won't play properly in Win 7 64bit. Tried every combinaiton in compatibility mode but it still renders multicolor pixels all over the screen.

This game is not worth it. There is multi colored pixles around everything. It makes it hard to play, and it even makes it hard to see the game. DO NOT GET THIS GAME unless it get gets fixed.

Very Good

Great Game, not good on windows 7

I've been playing this since it first came out, the first two fallout games are the best even though the more modern ones are more popular. I've loved playing this game until recently, when I upgraded to windows 7. when you play the game, the colors are all messed up and it doesn't work properly. The good thing is that there are patches on the internet for that, but most people will just complain to gamefly and not look up the patches. I highly suggest this game unless you have windows 7, in which case you should download the patches. Don't post a bad review because it didn't work for you, it's not like you had to pay for this game specifically.

I dont know if its bad bc ive only had new generation fallouts and the computer ones now are first persons =. it is ok if u like to play older games or point and clicks.

DO NOT BUY THIS. The game installs fine , loads fine, and actually runs. But if you are going to charge people either a membership fee, or 9.99 to own it, at least make sure the game will run. lol. Not even the fallout icon on desktop, its some guys fat face..Ok besides that. The thing lags so bad I can't even play it, I can deal with graphics glitches colors etc but the thing chugs along its like it pauses every half second. Very annoying. I can't believe they are even able to charge people for it.

Common GameFLy, Were Paying For This Service. None of the older Free to play PC games work. Even some of the new ones have problems causing them to be unplayable. FIX THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Windows 7 fix

Running on Win7 causes terrible graphical errors and subsequent lagging and crashes. Download these patches in order.

1. Download 1.2 patch here:

Instructions are included with file. Extract patch to: C:\Users\"YourPCname"\Documents\Gamefly\games\Interplay\Fallout

2. Download HiRes patch here:
nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php?action=file&file_id=1426

Again, follow included instructions. Extract patch to same folder as above.
Running F1 in 1920x1080, 16 bit colors and 60 Hz refersh rates perfectly. Hope this helps.

the game seems good but the fps is so low i cant stand it... i love follout and wanted to play the origanal, but the fps ruin it. and whenever i exit out i have to restart my computor to do anything else
