When i bought the game it took me 1-day to realize that the activation code that i needed could be given to me if i clicked on the arrow next to the play now icon. after entering in that code the game appeared in my steam folder and i was ready to play fallout new vegas. played it for 8-hours straight. one of my favorate games EVER.

Will not purchase because of Steam.

Waste of money to me. Since the description didn't say anything I was already checking out when I noticed a 3rd party download was required to download. Fallout NV was to be installed on a pc with no access to the internet which is also a pc I am using for 3d graphics creation and animation. Steam is not going to be installed on this machine no matter what. Put a notification if any of these games require this to protect people like me from being taken.

Sad too I had been looking forward to this for awhile.

At first I thought to myself that this game was no were near as extravagent as Fallout 3, but after reaching the strip my life changed. This game truly made me think differently and have a better grasp on role playing games. If you are into the Fallout series and dont mind an obliteratingly boring begining then its defintely for you, and only 14.99.

This is what fallout 3 should have been

To be honest I really do not like Bethesda's childish approach to Fallout series. This game is actually more like the original Fallout 2 and really true to the lore in first 2 games. The atmosphere is pretty much the same as Fallout 3 which is not bad, and the graphics look prettier and more colorful. Details in the weapons are very well done and weapon mods allow more in-depth gameplay. The game's difficulties are still easy even on very hard though the hardcore mode could be quite complex and difficult. The main plot line is very well done and I thoroughly enjoyed it for 60 hours. The story starts boring but eventually is built up to something great. There are a couple of factions that you can interact with during the main quest line and your decisions will alter the outcomes through the whole story. Obsidian Entertainment really puts their deep role playing game making experience again into fallout universe to make a worthy sequel to fallout 2 (New Vegas = New Reno in Fallout 2). If you are a fan since fallout this game is a must have.
