Stereoscopy over texture!!

BFG simply cannot be emulated as the PC community mistakenly assumes. Sure you can take the original and pimp it up with textures, but you can't get stereoscopic 3D like with this edition. And let me tell you if you have the hardware, and aren't trying this version, you're seriously missing out!
I am being taken back into this originally scary game, being submerged into the horrific action more than ever before. They got the depth perception just right, enough for me to find myself cowering in a corner wondering if I really want to keep going or just ... stop here for a while.
I've always seen Doom3 as a sort of "What the creators would have liked to be able to do with Doom 1" because it bares the same style of decor, similar enemies and shares the defective trademark unreliable lighting that always seem to want to critically break or outright fall off the ceiling when you first enter the room. There stereosopic 3D only adds a mount everest of realism that just simply gives this franchise the justice it deserves.
The only downside is I limit my game play to around 45 minues. I tend to really get into the game and at some point you need a break from getting spooked at every dang corner. It's been long enough since I first played this game that I don't remember enemy locations and such... and of course they all take me by surprise in almost all cases.
If you have nVidia 3D Vision (Quad buffer output) or a 3D capable TV (Side-by-side, over/under or interlaced) I highly recommend this to the point where I'd call it an essential of 3D gaming. You won't regret it especially if you're packing good CPU/GPU power.
