Really Bad

Absolute Rubbish

I have to make it known that I tried to like this game. I really did. I'm an avid Doctor Who fan (and have been for some time) but these games are just terrible. The only redeeming quality is that they are basically just episodes of Doctor Who.

First off the first thing you'll notice, besides the dated graphics, are the clunky controls. The second thing being the massive, repeating, "hints" that come up.
Now, these two things alone are not enough to make me turn it off as it would a lot of current day gamers, but it did make me wonder.

After completing the first episode, "City of the Daleks", I was left extremely disappointed. Not just because it was a cool plot-line severely rushed and horribly executed, but by pretty much every aspect of the game.

The movement is horrid, making even menial tasks a chore, the puzzles are beyond simple, the story is not engaging or even very interesting, and somehow they even managed to get the voice acting wrong. It's by the real actors too!

I tried to play the second episode too but quit soon into it as it was showing to be exactly the same quality.

This game would be the lowest of the low if it was not for Doctor Who franchise slapped on. Which honestly should make me hate it more for defiling such a great series.

I'm just glad I did not pay money for this garbage. Gamefly must realise it is truly horrible.

Bad

Not a Doctor Who game

This could be a fun game for a little kid, but not a more experienced gamer. The puzzles offered in this game are way too easy where I was expecting challenging on a Doctor Who level. It's nice that they got Matt Smith and Karen Gillan to voice the roles, but both are not voice actors. It also doesn't help that the character models have no facial animations which really detracts from the experience as well. This may be a fun game for your kid to play, but for fans who are looking for a good Doctor Who game, this is not it.

Love the voices, sound effects & music that I'm familiar with from the show. Hate--well, moderately dislike the graphics & controls. The game was only mildly challenging, but playing with my mouse & keyboard was the most difficult part. Kept overshooting targets & Amy KEPT GETTING IN THE WAY!!
