Frustrating Disappointment

This is a time based strategy game. Based around concurring islands. I have tried playing this game about 30 hours with much frustration. There is a limited number of save slots, which becomes an issue, because you need to save your game almost every time you destroy an enemy unit, due to all of the game malfunctions.
My 3 main frustrations with this game are First that it crashes a lot, and Second the AI which control's your amphibious ground units, is the worst I've suffered with in years. For example if you give a unit instructions to re-dock, instead of it turning right and leaving a court yard, it will go strait then turn left, then find a way to wedge itself behind a building. This happens constantly, and it doesn't get better as your units gain experience, because they don't gain experience. Third is your air units are so ridiculously unstable you can't use them to any affect in pilot mode, with a standard game pad, let alone a keyboard. So aircraft are only useful, from map mode.
The only time were I found this game was in first person shooter was at the very beginning of the campaign, and it was third rate. The volume control for the dialog is tied to the sound effects, so when you trigger dialog by moving your ship, your ship drowns out the dialog. The graphics were average. The controls were stank. The game stability stank. The stated concept was ambitious. The plot was basic.
There is a very old game called " Swine" that pitted Pigs, with German accents, against Rabbits, with French accents. I bought it off the $10 rack. If Carrier Command worked properly it would play like Swine, only Swine was much more fun and was more in dept. It had more kinds of units with much more options. The AI in Swine, for your units, worked. Swine didn't crash all of time.
I found Carrier Command to be a frustrating disappointment. It belongs on the $5 rack.
