Excellent

Great game

I started this game when it first came out in 2007, played about half way through, but never finished it. About a year later I did the same thing, and never finished it. So finally I decided I would play through Bioshock from beginning to end, and I am glad I did.

The game can get a little boring and repetitive in the middle. You are basically running through Rapture, shooting people, and searching their bodies, boxes, etc for ammo and other tools. The atmosphere is amazing and the story is also great. Once you get past a certain point, it becomes very interesting and I didn't want to stop until I finished it.

Overall I give this game a 9.

Bioshock is by far the most original IP I have ever played. It is a mix between FPS, Survival Horror, and RPG all rolled into one! The plasmids are much fun too experiment with and the shooting is not as easy as one might think. The story and setting really blows your mind on a scale rarely seen. I put it on par with MGS series. Something so creative you can't help but love the idea. There is nothing more satisfying than super human powers. We all know we want them. As a free download, you cannot miss out on this one if you have never played. For those who have, play it again. It is much fun repeated.

this game is awesome and it works great to i mean the requirements are windows xp and vista and i have windows 7 and its running so smoothly i recomend it to anyone who likes to game

BioShock was proably one of my favorite games when it came out. So much so that I bought #2 the day it came out. Neither dissapointed.
If you have never played Bioshock and like FPS, you HAVE to play this game! Great feel, great soundtrack and story line.
Turn down the lights and play by yourself and you'll jump once or twice I assure you!

A game that's suppost to be the "spiritual sucessor to the game System Shock 2, and pulls it off very well. Gameplay is fun, and immersive. A must play.

This game is amazing. I love how you can explore around and run into crazy people or even a big daddy. Graphics are good and storyline is awesome. Heads up though the little girls that work with the big daddys you can either absorb them for points to spend on new skills and stuff or you can let them live and you get something at the end, im not gonna spoil it but if your curious just google it. All in all this is a game everyone should try.

Playing on Windows 7 and not having any problems. If it doesn't work then get a better computer and don't rate the game down if that is you.

the graphics for the game are fantastic and the world is interactive. if you are thinking about downloading this game than do so. it is addicting and will have you hooked instantly.

Gane is good fixed sound

I think the game is pretty good. I had sound problems at first but fixed it by changing the compatability settings. I told it to "Run as Administrator" and put it into compatability mode for windows xp SP3. This fixed the sound on my windows 7 desktop.

Horrible

So many problems with this game ...

I figured that I would give this game a try since it didn't look bad and was free to play. I had no problems with downloading it or installing it. The problems didn't start until I tried to play it.

First there was no sound after the initial cinematic, to which after surfing the net I did find a solution to, which was to enable compatibility mode for a previous OS. But once the sound was working, the game would consistently freeze on the loading screen and the game would never load. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it with no luck.

My computer specs are as follows, Win7X64, Asus M4A77TD Mainboard, AMD Phenom II X4 965, 8GB Corsair PC3-10600, Asus GeForce GTX 550 Ti w/1Gb ram.

It seems like a good game, I have heard great things and the graphics are VERY good! My only problem may be myself but everytime I play this game it doesn't interest me. I do not have fun playing it which is the point of games. So maybe its just me like I said but I do not find this game fun.

Horrible

No sound!

Brand new computer. Everything works fine until I get to the plane crash part and then there is zero sound. All settings check out fine. The opening cinematic sound works but thats it. I see other people are having the same issue, and most others are happily enjoying their download. Whats going on?

Seems Bioshock is incompatable with Windows 8.

At least not withotu some arcane reg-editing and compatability mode hacks.

Giving the game a "1" rating for not providing an updated game client for the most current Windows OS. I understand it's not totally GameFly or BioShock's fault, but they should warn the customer before selling it to us.

This game is amazing for ppl who like FPS and RPG games that have drugs and stuff.




So far, i've played the game and it is just amazing like doing something for the first time Imao.




After all of the game i finished i decided to play the other bioshocks and they were great 2, and so that is why i give this game a 10! :D

Amazing game great atmosphere creepy little girl trying to murder you with her "brother" which scares the heck out of you when you see them. People having sound problems just need a better pc build a gaming rig and find out how much better pc is than any other system. :D

I loved the game but theres a problem....i can't get it to work. I've played it on the console before and know it's a good game but wanted to play it on pc to see if i enjoyed and/or could run it. I installed it and downloaded, it got bad results as it did not start. I didn't even get any window or pop-up.The only thing i got was a window to allow bioshock to run. After limted support that did not work i decided i should stop wasting my time.

to fix the sound problum for bioshock on windows 7 go to the hard ware and soun, click sound, go to recordings right click stareo mix, then click enable.

this helped me have sound for me

im sure this game is good but i wouldn't know, the sound never worked, so i uninstalled it.I am new to pc gaming but this is ridiculous I just want to play a game. I'll definitely be going back to console.

The game will not open, i tried to install it a couple of different ways, but it still won't open, however I do like the game and still give it a 9 considering i have played it before
