A big letdown

I honestly didn't expect much from this game. In fact, I didn't even consider buying it until it was under $20 on Gamefly. Even so, this game was a huge letdown.
The gameplay is more rehash of unevolved, unimaginative FPS. While the graphics are great, the gameplay mechanics feel stiff and unnatural.
The campaign has a few interesting high points, but is mostly just awful scripted "rails" garbage. To make matters worse, there are countless glitches that cause players to get stuck in various unrecoverable situations. For example, the ladder glitch on Operation Guillotine is a joke. It perfectly demonstrates what poor level design and abysmally bad AI can cause. In general, the campaign is so buggy and poorly designed as to make for a very dissatisfying experience.
It's particularly disturbing to see the myriad of well documented and reported critical bugs and glitches that are still not fixed over a year after the release of the game. I don't know why I'd expect any better from EA.
I could go on with disappointing aspects of the game, but I'd rather go play another game. It's a shame that a formerly great studio like DICE has been turned into just another mill for EA refuse.
