Perfect

Perhaps I'm just SO old.....

that I could figure this out. You have to reset the game each time you want to play. In the old days, games showed up on your screen as GAMEOVER........right after plugging the cartridge into the console. So, when you select a game, PRESS F1 to REMOVE THE INSTRUCTIONS AND THEN PRESS 1 TO RESET THE GAME TO RESTART. You'll be ready to go! It really isn't that difficult and the download works just fine.

I loved Atari 2600, even though not my first video game system. These games bring back a LOT of great memories.

at first this game didn't work right from the download. After a few adjustments I was playing these fun retro games.

heres what you need to do to get this to work
download and install
locate the game icon (right click on it)
after you right click on it go down to properties
go to the compatibilities tab
check the run in capatibility mode
chose windows 95
hit apply.

thats it just play game.
I originaly adhusted the settings to 256 color mode and turned off vector flash. but it was redundent.
if this doesnt work try different variations

tested on windows vista (works good)

Graphics are what you expect.
But, the game control is bad and there is no real help system.

Yeah, the game has issues. I figured out how to play Adventure at least. Go to the folder where the game is installed, then create a batch file. In that, I wrote: 2600 "Resources\Atari 2600\ROMs\ADVNTURE.BIN" Then run the batch file, and you can play Adventure. Just change the ROM name to whatever game you want to play. I'm sure one can make an automated batch file that lets you choose a game by name, it'll just take some work.

Although I have the most recent version of DirectX installed, everytime I try to run the program, it can't detect DirectX and crashes to desktop. Worthless download.

Menu.Exe CRASH

I try to play this game and it goes black screen.... then it says that "Menu.Exe" has stopped responding. Over and over again. Very bummed out.

The menu.exe file does not work properly. Therefore, the game downloads and starts fine, but does not allow me access to the game files.

for me it gave me a virus when dling the 3rd party app........messed up my pc too my virus scan wouldnt get rid of it for some reason kept giving it errors and allowing it to go insted of remove or blocking it :/

Had to bring up task manager to close out whenever i quit any game. so many games with no instructions and so many that i never heard of (because they are garbage and didn't sell) even though i was a big time atari player when they were new...yes i am that old. I wouldn't give this game a 1 but had to pick a number to post.

to put it plainly, it sucks. cant find the game you want w/ ease, froze my system, and soon someone else will post somin similar to this because they were to dumb for their own good and downloaded it anyway. CallOfDutyDude
