4 Elements is a pluzzle game that does a great job of keeping you interested and wanting to play to the next level. The game has several different components that work well to keep the game fun with an increasing challenge.
The graphics and sound aren't anything special, but they aren't annoying or distracting. They do a good job showing you what you need to see, but you can tell they are showing their age.
The gameplay stays interesting because it consists of alternating components of Hidden Item, Matching Gems, and Finding the Differences between two pictures. The gem matching piece is the main focus of the game which has you trying to keep the magic flowing thru the board by clearing off gems which allows the magic to spread. It's a unique premise that differentiates this game from the thousands of other gem puzzlers out there. Obstacles such as ice, stones, and boulders block your path, but there are plenty of powerups that charge as you clear gems which help you proceed. There is enough strategy and challenge to keep the game fun and (so far) has not caused me any frustration.
The Hidden Item and Spot the Differences portions appear after complete several gem-clearing levels, and the game offers you plenty of hints if you happen to get stuck.
Overall I am having fun playing this game. There are enough things to do to keep the game interesting and have kept wanting to play until the next level. Recommended!
