18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul for PC Reviews by Gamers

Well after installing about 6 games that didn't even play or froze during load this one actually pulled through. The graphics are better than I expected them to be, but I advise against going to Mexico because you'll get fined before you even reach the Border Crossing and again on the way back.

As another person said, some of the jobs are very long and will take a few hours to get there but that is the name of the game. And learn how to park double trailers as another said. Double egg trailers are the ones that pay the most 147k+ per load but be prepared for the 'Long Haul'.

Always save, save and save some more! The game has not crashed yet but it is always a good idea to save whenever you can!

Talking on the CB does not do anything but distract you. But if you do want to talk you may want to learn the numbers. If you find traffic turning into you from the lanes use your flashers (F) and it will keep those cars behind you. It is also nice to 'advance time' when you find yourself in a traffic jam. If you like to see the traffic zoom by as you are doing 80 without even letting up, use the shoulder....Feel like offroading? Do so without penalty....just don't damage your trailer!

I give this game 9/10 because of the touchiness of the police. Otherwise, if you like these types of games, this is one you will enjoy for hours and will actually work!
