World Championship Paintball for PlayStation 2 Reviews by Gamers

It's an abomination of anything even remotely related to paintball. I've been a fan of the Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball series and when I heard that THQ was releasing a paintball game, I had somewhat high hopes, since they've done such a good job with other games in the past.

After playing for five minutes, I could already tell this wasn't gonna be pretty. It was obvious no paintball company in their right mind sponsored this game in the slightest, with a bunch of made up equipment. Then I go into a quick match, the controls were terrible, the graphics can only be described as so-so, and the overall feel of the game was just wrong.

The only things I liked about the game were being able to train your teammates, although I am sure they could've gone into more detail, which I'm hoping they use in the next Greg Hastings. And of course, the use of squad commands, which implemented in this game was terrible, but a good concept.

All in all, this was a waste of a good rental. If you're a fan of paintball, don't even look at it. This is a total disappointment. I can see why no paintball magazines even mentioned this craptastic title.

I rented this game for the ps2 expecting it to be like the Greg Hasting games of the past. I was very very wrong. All of the equipment (ex. paintball guns and names used) are all fake. While playing the air tanks come out from the bottom instead of straight out the back like on a real paintball gun.

I had read reviews of this game from that other people had written and I just didn't believe them because I didn't think it could be as bad as they made it out to be! But trust me and everybody else that has written a review about this game! Save your time and DO NOT RENT this game. I got it in and started playing it and it lasted only about 10 minutes and I played one round and took it out and put it back in the envelope and sent it back the same day. If you want to play a good paintball game stick with the Greg Hastings Paintball games they are way better.
