Don't believe the hype

If you're looking for a good RPG, pass this one up and pick up Dragon's Dogma. The Witcher 2 is like Uncharted in that it is more of a movie with a few gaming elements sprinkled in, rather than a full-fledged, open world. If you don't mind this type of game, it's okay, but it's still hampered by a great deal of issues that make it nearly unplayable. Your character is on a rail, meaning you have to take on a few quests and the game does not open up to you or even give you direction in order to complete them. Try shooting an apple from a tree, sprinting over, then adding it to your inventory. Try jumping. None of these things can happen in the Witcher 2. It seems odd to me that a character can perform alchemy in the wild, but to drink a potion you need to be meditating. This effectively renders potions useless. Pass this game up; whatever you do, don't BUY it. It's garbage and the game shows are promoting it because the developers have paid them off. Get Dragon's Dogma instead.
