If you're looking for a good RPG, pass this one up and pick up Dragon's Dogma. The Witcher 2 is like Uncharted in that it is more of a movie with a few gaming elements sprinkled in, rather than a full-fledged, open world. If you don't mind this type of game, it's okay, but it's still hampered by a great deal of issues that make it nearly unplayable. Your character is on a rail, meaning you have to take on a few quests and the game does not open up to you or even give you direction in order to complete them. Try shooting an apple from a tree, sprinting over, then adding it to your inventory. Try jumping. None of these things can happen in the Witcher 2. It seems odd to me that a character can perform alchemy in the wild, but to drink a potion you need to be meditating. This effectively renders potions useless. Pass this game up; whatever you do, don't BUY it. It's garbage and the game shows are promoting it because the developers have paid them off. Get Dragon's Dogma instead.

This was a great game, awesome fighting, some nice TA scenes, and a (somewhat) open world to explore.
The only bad i could think of is that the dialogue and cutscenes seem to drag on foreverrrr! Also the plot is a little convoluted.
This game had so much potential but the design flaws and glitchs and bugs make it a miserable experience. Do not waste your time like i did. Trust me if you rent this you will only be teasing yourself with what should have been a pretty fun game. I just spent 3 hours gathering material to create a trap that seemed necessary for the boss battle i was getting ready for. I built some traps and put them in storage and can not get them out, freakin rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Get it right or dont release it developers rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.Thank God i only rented it. Anyone who bought this game should be able to get their money back because it is a faulty product!
