Very Good

Don't listen to the haters

First off, this is not a shooter; it is a stealth game. Of course you don't have lots of guns.

Second, since 'Splinter Cell' is not in the title, it's probably not a splinter cell game.

Now that that's out of the way, this much-maligned title is a solid stealth game. Think WWII Tenchu: Stealth Assassins with an ice cold sultry protagonist. The game play mechanics are solid. The graphics are okay. Any fan of stealth games with an open mind should give it a try, just don't expect it to be exactly like some other game you've played (I'm talking to the splinter cell people again.) I should mention, though, that the brightness had to be changed a lot on my TV in order for me to see anything at all in the shadows. Adjust it in the game to where you can see well in shadowed areas, or the game will be impossible.

As far as difficulty goes, I played the game on the harder of the two difficulties first, and didn't have any problems until the final level, which requires you to run and gun a lot. As the game is centered around stealth, the shooting mechanics are less than great, but I still didn't have too much trouble with it. Decreasing the aiming sensitivity helped.

The story line is cool, and the conversations of the Germans in-game are well scripted. Some people complained about having to listen to them over and over, but I didn't find this to be a problem. You can interrupt them at any time by whistling, and unless you really suck at this kind of game, you won't have to try each section very many times anyway.

Replay value is relatively low. The inability to replay a specific mission really sucks. I'm currently replaying the game on the easier difficulty because you don't get the achievement for doing so by beating it on the harder one, and to see if I can beat the game in under 5 hours (another achievement.)

I wouldn't buy this game, but it was most definitely worth a rent. I give it an 8, because there is room for improvement, but it was a fun game.

I really do think this game has potential. It's just way too frustrating! Horrible checkpoints, the main character can't survive a firefight of any kind, the leveling system seems pointless, environments are too linear, and to sum it all up: the story makes no sense. You cant even pick up fallen enemies' guns. I suggest to not waste your time with this game even though it looks interesting.

Usually Don't Write Reviews

I had to write a review this time... to save others from my fate...

This game can easily be described as a stealth game (like Splinter Cell)... but HORRIBLE... The stuff of NIGHTMARES...

I won't write the 3 page review like others... just save yourself the shipping time and rent something else.

You've been warned.
