It has great graphics for it's time and excellent voice acting. But i thought the combat and platforming was clunky and very frustrating at times. I'm not sure if i'd call the story good exactly, it didn't put me on the edge of my seat but it was enjoyable.

I loved the Jak and Daxter series, I absolutely LOVED Last of Us, and though those games have nothing in common with each other or other Naughty Dog games, I still expected a lot from this game since Naughty Dog had not disappointed me this far (not to mention the hype Unchartered receives), but I was disappointed with this game. May be it's just this game, I'm still going to play the rest of them to see, but this game had annoying, repettative gameplay. Once you're in cover, it's a pain in the neck to get out without jumping into another cover, so someone is standing behind you and shooting you but you can't turn around and return fire because you are in cover. The shooting is difficult and makes no sense (even on easy) - how many headshots does it take to kill someone? How many rounds from an assault rifle? Can only carry 2 guns with very limited ammo, but the enemies continue to pile in. Overall a tedious game, but I still didn't hate it, the story was alright, the plot picks up a bit more towards the end and gets more exciting. I feel like the game had more potential though, some parts were ruined by unnecessary extras - such as when riding the jetski, I realy wish it was a fast paced getaway type of ride, instead it was the slow and careful swim to shoot all fuel barrells (so they don't explode when you ride over them) and all enemies that are shooting at you. Why even have a jetski? At the pace you're moving, you could have been swimming or using a paddle boat.
Overall, I didn't feel like it was a waste playing it (even if you don't like it in the beginning, keep playing it, the pace picks up and the story gets better further into the game), but I did feel like it has TOO MUCH hype for not a lot of anything.
