So I've played the huge hyped PS3 exclusive games like Lair, Heavenly Sword & Rachet & Clank:Future and all while good games in there our right, nothing really made me say this is why I own a PS3! The comes Uncharted... immediately the story took off and had my attention, the graphics and the attention to detail in terms of lighting and textures make this game that much more emersive. The voice acting and facial animations are top notch and are some of the best I've seen on any of the next gen consoles. The gameplay is near flawless. This game is meant to be played like a great action thriller and it succeeds in all areas. The game play is swift and fluid. At no point was I "this is boring". To the point this is my first PS3 title where i wasn't simply playing to say I had played and beat the game. It was a very enjoyable & exciting expirence. This game deserves your time.
This game is really fun. The graphics are enjoyable and the cut scenes are actually nice to watch. The story line is great and the game play seems flawless. I wish more games like this will come out in the near future. There are tons of secrets and treasures that you have to find. The replay level of this game is high. I suggest this to anyone. The language is pretty strong for a TEEN rating. ENJOY!
Imagine taking the best elements of every indiana jones flick, mixed with the best parts of the tomb raider series of games... plus some great platforming & shooting action. This game is really incredible... fun... challenging... interesting & engaging. Voice acting is phenomenal, writing is pulpy but fun and lighthearted (VERY indiana jones-ish). The main characters are charming enough that you care what happens to them, but gritty and real enough that they don't come off as fake. My biggest complaint is the camera, which can be a little wonky, particularly at the most intense/critical moments - usually when using a vehicle and trying to shoot. The environments are amazing in their richness & detail, but are almost "too" perfect... a little more atmosphere would help everything be less sharp & bright (ie: more realistic) when they're in peripheral view or far away. Bear in mind I'm playing on an NTSC tv, not an HD display - so the detail could be much more pleasing on the eyes with a better tv. Targeting can be way too slow sometimes (turning while holding the target causes you to turn sometimes WAY Too slowly - even with the sensitivity turned way up). If you like treasure hunting or adventure stories - this is really worth checking out, despite the minor complaints I have with it.
