Full disclosure: I only played the first level before I sent it back.
Here is why, first the story put me off. I started in "story" mode and when I found out I was playing as a serial killer right off the bat I felt weird. Especially in the way they present it. This isn't Dexter we are talking about it. It wasn't until later that I discovered the Faustian nature of the game but leading off with Sweet Tooth I think was a mistake.
Second, it defaults the controls to the original game controls from back in the day. I played that Twisted Metal for a few weeks back in '97 but I didn't play it enough to remember how the controls worked. And racing controls have changed drastically since then. It would have been better to default to a more modern control scheme and then have a prompt for the fans of the series to let them know they can go "classic" if they want.
I realize this probably was an awesome reboot for the hardcore fan, but for a casual fan it was a misstep.
This game was a waste of time and a headache to play. If you have played 1 and 2 this is nothing of the sort and is horribly done in comparison. This game took me only about 6 hours to complete, 4.5 of those hours were painstaking and pointless. This game has one of the shortest story lines and most of the trophies are online, witch you cannot play unless you have a code. I rate this game a 2 our of generosity.
