Everyone who ever owned a gamecube will recall a gem call Super Smash Bros Melee. That game would go on to be the best selling gamecube game of all time.
Unfortunately, that disc is going to start forming dust on it because brawl will barely ever come out of your wii. This game is not just a roster update unlike other fighters, it has a handful of new characters and areas to duke it out. It also has the new adventure mode, the SubSpace Emissary which is remiscent to stages of mario only with the smash bros flair added in. But that is not what will keep you going to play though.
Thanks to what nintendo did with its wifi connection, you can finally take the fight online with friends or anyone really. Unlike their other games which were online, this one was really put to the test and the brawls are hardly ever laggy so its smooth sailing for the rest of the fight.
The controls are perfect simply because there are four different ways to play be it Wii remote, Wii remote and nunchuck, Classic controller, or the quintessential gamecube controller. And one could always change the control scheme to their liking so everyone is satisfied.
The music, though, is what got me drooling the most. Hearing orchestrated versions of the songs I know and love is not just a nostalgia factor, but actually immerses one into the game. Oh and you have to like the ocarina of time medley and the MGS4 ones too.
Altogether, if you have a wii get this game. If you don't have a wii, buy a wii and get this game. You will not be dissapointed and quite frankly, will be playing for years to come.
Super Smash Brothers Brawl is just great... Even with the few problems with online lag (which I find manageable) this game is a KEEPER! I played this game at a friends house when it first came out. Had a BLAST with multiplayer, so I rented it and just flat out love this game. I'm definitely going to buy/keep this one. I am still waiting for the perfect game to give a 10 to... but this one came pretty close.

Super Smash Bros. has been rapidly evolving with each new title, now we have come to the epitome of its reign. Brawl has a huge amount of playable characters, brilliant multiplayer (including online) and a good challenging and fairly long adventure mode. This game will keep you entertained for a long time, trying to get all the collectibles in this game and trying to beat everything there is to beat. The control scheme is set up so that you can use one of 4 controllers, none of which include swinging the Wiimote around (unless you want to of course). Only note, the online is sort of jumpy, making it a tad inconsistent in getting you matches, but you can overlook that problem by playing with friends. This is definitely the best game for the Wii and the moment and will probably be one of the best games to ever come out on the system.
