Really Bad

Stick to the PS2 Title

I really REALLY wanted this to be as fun as it was on PS2 but there things that just kill it right out of the gate.

moving, missions, battle system

starting off with moving

the issue is either you moving too slow (even when boosting) or your 360 movement isn't key on. this make for annoying gameplay and drags out what would be fast based combat with Mecha to a snail battle

missions

this is just as bad, there pretty much 3 missons types and mostly it just go to point A to point B to point A. needless to say after you do this a few times that part you want no longer feels like it worth the grind

Battles
much like movement this is very blocky and very simple but like movement you feel as if you hand are tied

battles start off easy as pie but make a steep jump to Hard as sin. this isn't a bad thing but the way the game go about it is!

Overall if you must play Steambot break out your Ps2 get a copy of Steambot for Ps2 and thank me later

Fun For About an Hour

Steambot Chronicles had a lot of potential. I like the idea of having the mini-missions with the overarching goal of gaining reputation at the coliseum.

The first few missions are entertaining but then it becomes painfully clear that they're all the same. Basically you walk from one area to another. This becomes tedious especially considering that the character and the mech walk extremely slow.

The combat system in the coliseum is absolutely terrible. No redeeming quality. The camera system is not compatible with the battle system and it makes battling clumsy and not entertaining.

As a side note, there is a villain referred to as the "Fabulous Bandit" who was intended to be a comedic stereotype but ended up just being an offensive characterization of homosexuals.

I strongly recommend against Steambot Chronicles.

Bad

It gets repetitive

At first the game is fun but then it gets repetitive. The enemies guard all the time an there are basically 5 attacks shooting, tackling, spinning, punching, and cutting. Finally you move in pretty much four directions left, right, forward, and back.
I don't recommend this game to anyone unless they played the first
