Sorry for the corny title, I couldn't resist. Over all Spec Ops the line is not a bad title, there were some technical glitches in the textures throughout the game, but that is an Unreal thing. The story was pretty good, I thought it was well thought out and there were a lot of surprises along the way. I also liked the combat scenarios that were placed through out, there was plenty of action and not a whole lot of ammo so you have to make sure you place your shots. For me this is a plus, it makes the game more realistic. The environments were also very well done, although I spent a lot of time in a building or a desert they never got boring and there is plenty to look at. Overall I give this game a 7, will I play it again? probably not but it was a good title to play through once. I recommend it.
spec ops the line is a very good game. good shooting and great melee combat help this game get off the ground what really sets this game apart is the story. it has the best character progression ive seen in awhile
I loved it, which is a surprise i'm usually not a wargame (COD, GOW Battlefield) fan, probably because i'm not good at them. But I really ran with this one, story was intriguing making moving forward great as more and more was revealed.
I do however have 2 complaints, 1) Game seemed real short, time wise. It pretty much seemed like we were just getting a good head of steam going and BOOM it ended.
My other problem, which may be a bit of a spoiler, or not 2) Killing americans, I'm not sure i like this idea, rogue or whatever, I'm not even going to bring up the civilians. Either way I would have rather seen make believe countries.
Overall i would recommend the game, glad it was a rental and not a purchase considering game length. And like Mr Dennis Miller would say, thats just my opinion i could be wrong.
