Man,this game was kind of a disappointment I've loved a few silent hills and hated a few,but this one was on the fence for me, the story was full of potential but the game play was full of flaw. I thought we were past the point of repawning enemy's!I would have loved to love this game but I just couldn't

The game has the slowest pace I've ever seen. It's meant to build tension and make the game more creepy, but it just makes the game a complete bore to play. I don't know what the technical term for the graphical glitch where your screen seems to freeze for a second and then your character has moved when the screen unfreezes (lag maybe?) but it happens in this game every couple of minutes. I thought I would like this game, but it's just no fun. The combat and movement of the character is tedious and this game's "sandbox" is empty and boring. Open-world games are some of my favorite, but it just doesn't work here. It feels like a watered-down version of Deadrising 2 with less personality.

But seriously, the people who made this game needs to have a complete mental check. This game is about asking if you are a good guy or a bad guy! Yes, it is karma driven, but here is the catch you must not kill the demons of silent hill or else you will be considered the bad guy! What were they smoking when they came up with this karma system?! The enemies can gang up and practically murder you, but heaven forbid that you shiould kill in your own defense? Sadly, it is true. But here is the problem to this concept.. The enemies are stronger than you, they out-number you, and your weapons(while powerful) are prone to breaking, and the only breathing room you are given is when you kill the demons... Imagine that, they made a game where it is bad karma if you kill an evil demon! The evil demons can kill you without any karma penalty what so ever... Factor in the fact, that you are given limited supplies on healing, you don't heal naturally on your own, but it seems that your enemies do however... When you factor in breakable weapons, no real body armor, and limited healing ability(first aid kits) it make me wonder why they just didn't call the game Silent Hill- run for the hills edition. Maybe they could have called it Silent hill- cowardly good guy, and valiant villan edition. The combat in this game has actualy taken a step backwards from previous games in the series. If you spend most of the game running away from your enemies will never get a chance to enjoy the scenery, find any valuable itemss for puzzle solving or find any secrets. Silent hill series is not a racing game, but you would not be able tell the difference if they keep giving us running sections while at the same time, preventing us from slaying demons. Yes, I hate breakable weapons! In a Silent Hill game, a weapon can often become the closest thing you have to a freind, and exploring the town fully might be the only way to find the puzzle pieces you need. Try it out yourself!
