I have played every horse-riding game available on both PS1 and PS2. This one is the best!
I like sports games to be realistic and this one is! Here, the scoring system is exactly like real-life Grand Prix competing. The horses cannot jump the professional fences from a trot. And finally, you can be eliminated for too many refusals. All these are how the real-life competing is done! Great job!
There is also a free ride mode to just ride and relax and explore.
The graphics are very beautiful!
You groom and train your horse and enter tougher events as the horse's abilities improve. The Dressage events have many of the special moves that so many other riding games do not have and there are no silly made-up moves. It is all real. (I ride for real, but not at the pro level... yet)
You can select either a male or female rider and have many clothes to choose from.
The controls take some getting used to (especially for Dressage), but it's not as hard as it may seem when you first try. Just a little practice and patience and you'll be fine. Trust me.
After playing this game for only an hour, I have decided to buy it. This is one horse game I will cling to forever.
