Rhythm Heaven for Nintendo DS Reviews by Gamers

All the fun that it seems like Beyonce is having in the commercial isn't just part of her bad acting. This game actually is fun. The DS has quite a large library of titles primarily comprised of just minigames. Rhythm Heaven is definitely high up on that list. In Rhythm Heaven, you play through a series of rhythm-related minigames, in which you complete simple tasks to the beat of a song. When you beat a minigame, you unlock another in it's place. Every fifth minigame unlocked is a remix, which consists of parts of all four of the previous games strung together. The games range from building robots to training a duck army to being part of a monkey audience that claps for a J-pop star singing a song that contains the phrase "I suppose" far more than any song should. The controls for most of the games are just a tap or a flick with the stylus. If you like these types of time-killer games, and you can keep a beat, this game can be really fun. On the other hand, if you keep a rhythm as well as a deaf-mute 2-year-old beating on pots and pans, then this game can be pretty hard. Yeah, I know that wasn't the most clever simile, but I don't see you coming up with anything.
