Worth the rent

If I'd bought it, I'd be displeased. For a rent (or a $20 purchase) it's great. PSP shooters are in essence nonexistent, and this one does a fantastic job of pushing the PSP to it's technical limit.

While I did enjoy the game, I will admit that the voice acting is 70% cheese and 30% entertaining. The voice acting is decent, and the plot itself is mediocre. Some parts are just...bad. Example: you're James Mason, rough Brit bent on revenge against the Chimera. You and you're bad-boy James Bond-wannabee self are trying to rescue Raine while she's drowning in the water tubes of a Conversion Chamber. For 30 minutes...Half an hour of "JAMES! Help me, I can't breathe!" After 20 you find yourself wishing she'd just die & shut up.

Resistance is a pretty good game. There are no reasons not to buy it, but there are some ways they could've made it better. There are are only six weapons of choice (one being a grenade). I don't know if the monsters you fight get stronger as you move on from level to level but sometimes it does takes more bullets to kill them. The ammo also could've been better, if you end up being jumped and you're using one gun and holding the trigger it'll last about a minute. Other than that the game is about a 8.9 out of 10. Good weapons (though not many), great graphics, good story line, and you shoot aliens. That's a pretty good game if you ask me.

this game is so cool the graphics are great the story is great and the controles arent as simple as sf dark mirror but it will pass. I would not recomend this game to small children, there is a tone of cussing and at one level (bonn/female conversion center) that has nudity, but other than that this game is the game you buy not rent!
