when i first heard there was a resistance game on psp i was a little curious as to just how well the series would cross from the ps3 games. i was very impessed. the graphics are awsome, the loading times are mostly pretty low, and plus the story is full of twists and action to keep your attention.
the over the shoulder third person veiw and the aiming system is helpful with the camera rotation controls which are hindered a little from the lack of a right thumbstick shooter fans are used to. while it is automatic aim by default, pressing up on the dpad with let you aim more accuratly, for head shots especially!
another thing i liked about this game was the diversity of enemies and the constant action. it seems like every time you go around a corner, there was a squad of hybrids waiting to ambush, or a boiler parade marching toward me, or even a titan waiting with his cannon ready to strike. keeps ya on your toes, and that adds to the overall intensity this game presents in such a small package.
i say that if you are an action shooterfan, go for it!!

Simply put if you enjoyed Syphon Filter You will feel right at home here. Controls, play style, and unlockables all feel very familiar and tight.

Pros: Great
-graphics (not god of war but close)
-feels very smooth and fast
-Great replay with tons of weapons and unlockables
-Fast and Fun multiplayer (Not many people even online yet as this is day one but still finding matches fast)

Cons:
-Game feels a little easy with the auto look
-Graphics can get sluggish if you begin running and gunning to fast for the background loader
-multiplayer can get laggy with too many explosions and players (Honestly not that bad of a hang up considering the overall experience)

Overall I would say its one of the few games I would call a must own. Definitely a lot of fun and worth the time to atleast rent. Characters are great, weapons are fun, all the monsters have different weaknesses that are fun to figure out, and the most extensive multiplayer I have ever seen on a psp personally.

The presentation (graphics/sound) is exceptional for a PSP game. The gameplay is sorely lacking however due to an imprecise aiming scheme and enemy design that clearly uses this deficiency against you. The developers were apparently aware of the control issues due to the inclusion of both auto-aim and auto-cover functions, but they don't help at numerous points of the game. Unfortunately, the challenge throughout much of the game is battling the errant control and not the Chimera.

R:R is an ambitious and mostly successful effort, but the game falls short in the gameplay area.
