Resident Evil used to be the game that you played in the dark and it made you jump out of your seat. The newly released "The Evil Within" is what RE once was. The commercial they're running with people trying the game and screaming in fright is what I remember the RE Saga as. I may be going back to PS2 but that's when it was best and probably piqued. Now it's just a title they can fire out for an immediate reception because it has or had, I don't know, a cult following. For the PS3 releases so far I say "boo". Won't rate as Terrible but definitely doesn't make it to the halfway mark in my library.
This game really impressed me. Not only does it offer Couch Co-Op, which is my Fave, it offers 3 different campaigns, I mean full campaigns. This game is loads of fun. It has horror and action. The graphics are great and the story is solid. Great game to Rent/Buy.

I know people complained that it wasn't like 1, 2, or 3, but I think it was an improvement. This game is more fast paced, and became more of a shooter. If you are looking for scary, go to RE4. This has few scares, but very disturbing enemies.
