RAGE is a beautiful game, with a wonderful opening cinematic, fantastic open-world setting, generally strong enemy AI and stellar gunplay. The only thing missing is a coherent set of missions to enjoy them with.
After 5 hours of gameplay, I'd added 6 weapons and 3 cars to my arsenal, competed in races to upgrade my cars, found various ammo types to use in my guns, and schematics to build weapons and items from parts.
And I still had no freakin' idea what was the point of my existence in the post-apocalyptic future. I was still running errands for every character with spoken dialogue I'd encountered; bring supplies here, go investigate this location, go fix a radio tower. There wasn't even a hint concerning what happened in the 106 years since I'd been cryogenicaly frozen, who the Authority was (other than "bad,") no hints as to what was happening in the future or what the ultimate goal was.
Its a great game, looks wonderful, and all it's missing is a good reason to keep playing it.

Comes off as a cheap imitation Fallout, but a well made imitation. Graphics are great the story is just recycled Fallout lore, man from the past walks out into the Wasteland and fights mutants and survivors. Be good, be bad, be whatever you want to be but most Wastelanders will want something from you in order to make the game progress.
