Though it’s a few years late, Sony’s answer to Nintendo’s Super Smash Brothers does not fail to impress. If you’re a fan of Sony’s franchises like Ratchet & Clank, God of War, or Jak and Daxter, this game is a nice addition to the collection. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is a multiplayer, multi-tier 2-D fighting game directly modeled from Super Smash Brothers with a few elements having been changed. The most noticeable difference, besides that absence of Mario and friends, is the way that enemies are finished off. Instead of just beating them into oblivion, you build up power-ups by dealing out damage and utilize those power-ups to vaporize your opponents. Other than that, it’s essentially the same. Battle Royale brings something that was previously missing to the PlayStation Network, though I’m not entirely sure gamers were clamoring for it. It’s everything that SSB was for Nintendo. It was an innovative way to bring everyone’s favorite characters under one roof in a simple format that’s more fun than most other party games.
The game itself is very good but there's not much to do without an online pass. the games best feature would be versus and that would be if you have friends to play with you. Other than that the game is not very good.
shouldnt have wasted my time renting this , scratch that -they shouldnt have wasted time making this game -_- its corny & if your a smashbros. fan, you'd be highly upset this game has coexistence. played worse games b4 but this one is by far the worse . buying a 64 just for that one.
