The NFS series has never been a good simulator (especially when they actually tried to be a simulator with Pro Street, Shift, etc), but was at the top of it's game when it was putting out games like Most Wanted. The Run represents the franchise moving back to what made the games fun...pure arcade style, cheesy story lines, good graphics, fun cars to drive (even though it hardly matters which car you choose...any stage can be beaten easily with any of the available cars).
-Having to pull into one of the limited "gas stations" in order to change your car...you should be allowed to choose any car (at the appropriate tier) at any time during the main story, not feel like you're "stuck" with a car you'd rather not be driving for two or three races in a row.
-The helicopter/thugs shooting at you gets old, fast. Better to not have included the whole "mob" thing in the game at all.
-The cops are ridiculous. They can ruin a perfect race in an instant, causing a frustrating restart.
-Rubber-band AI. Not as bad in this game than in other games in the series, but still annoying to be running a perfect race and still have the AI cars tailgating you the whole way (an El Camino can keep up with a Lamborghini Gallardo in a straight line? Come on...)
Definitely recommend this title to anyone who misses the older, better NFS games (Most Wanted, Carbon, etc.). All of the races were in beautiful settings, the cars for the most part are responsive, and the difficulty isn't hard at all. Low replay value though...even the challenge series gets old fast.
