Nanostray is more of an updated version of Xevious or something similar, its simply an above-view spaceship/action game where you use a variety of weapons to defeat a variety of enemy space craft.
this is a very simple game. you shoot you dodge you shoot you dodge.
if you want a bare-bones basic flight arcade style action game, then this is for you.
i know that may sound bland but believe it or not there is an audience for this type of game, its either your thing or it is not.
the graphics are stunning, they look 3d and very polished, and the sound is pretty nice as well. theres a variety of levels to experience - and although they range in difficulty make no mistake this is not the easiest game ever made. you will need to master the art of laser evasion to beat nanostray, and that is where i found the most appeal.
believe it or not, dying and shooting and dying and shooting isnt too bad.
mostly every single time i died it was somewhat exciting, and i liked how there was no pause in the action between death and re-birth. you die you live you die you live.
thats how nanostray is
repetitive, but fun.
if you like space action games rent this, if you dont like them then avoid it at all costs!
