This game is so-so

Fans of the game Mercenaries will probably find this game slightly enjoyable. It retains a lot of the game play style and tactics with some twists and new techniques.
On the plus side, it has a pretty big world with plenty to do and 3 unique characters with their own ups and downs, allowing the player some freedom to choose their play style. Decent graphics and an okay soundtrack add to a game that would bring out the violent side of Mother Teresa.
On the downside, I got bored playing this game after about 10 hours. The first hour or two offer plenty of things to do, upgrading your character and exploring the world available to you, but after that, I felt like this game took on more of a "grand theft auto" style play of "go here, do this, then go there, do that". I'd guess by about the halfway point of the game, any real challenge is composed mostly of just finding the most destructive way to accomplish a task. Effectively completing most of the goals of the game didn't provide the kind of entertainment I was really hoping for.
I would like to specifically express my opinion that this game felt half-attempted, or even old to me. The cut-scenes were substandard to what one would expect from even the opening sequences, and again, by about the 10 hour mark, the storyline has all but gone anywhere interesting. Considering the games that EA and Pandemic Studios usually come out with, this game must have really been low-budget. If this is the direction they plan on taking the Mercenaries franchise, I fear it will be short lived.
Long story short: I think its worth playing for a little while, but don't give it a priority in your Game-Q.
