The PS Vita has horsepower, but none of it is put to use on this version of the game. The Movie sequences are horribly grainy and blurry on the OLED screen, the SFX in game are highly compressed and lacky any depth. The game is nearly identical to the 3DS version and it shows. The VITA could have easily handled better sound and movies at the very least or more of the open world exploring found in the home console cousins. I would pass on this version unless the Vita is your only gaming option.
The reviews that say how awful this game is are greatly exaggerated. Yes, it is lacking the open world that consoles have, and yes the video cutscenes look like a realplayer video from 1999, however the game is still fun all together.
If you enjoy previous Lego offerings then you'll enjoy this, if you are looking for a quick game to get into during breaks at work, a bus ride or some other quick period this game is amazing, all of the missions are presented in bitesized packages which make it super easy to pick up and play.
I would recommend this game to any super hero geek, or Lego nerd for sure.
Just don't get confused that you're playing a portable offering and not the same game on the big consoles.
There is nothing wrong with this game at all. In fact, its the same game we have been playing for years.
The thing is that we now have this game in the ps3 and Xbox that is a brand new step in the franchise. It was awesome really... and for Vita we get this... Isn't Vita supposed to be like the Ps3?
The cutscenes seem grainy. The action is repetition.
So much potential and yet we get this... :(
Still its fun while it last but def a rental not a buy
