I got this for my roommate and she hated it! So I played it and yah it was not the best game I have played not even close. Slow paced, when you drive the cars it shows views other then drivers views, like a view from behind the left front wheel when I had to make a right turn could not see what was in front of me and the game changed views all the time while driving. What ever happened to first person view where it feels like your driving a real car. Guess I just like first person view over the camera view when it comes to games.
I was truly amazed at the definition and detail of L.A. Noire! It definitely has the visual appeal and authenticity that most games haven't even touched yet. I am not the biggest fan of extreme open-world games, but enjoy them because there is so much to do. L.A. Noire didn't disappoint on that front but I was kind of upset of how it became boring at some moments in the game. It wasn't a blazing action game or shooting every second, but enjoyed solving the crimes and interrogations were hard for me. However, it is a real great game for anyone who wants to slow things down and check out the entirety of the game, I didn't even try to find the golden reel canisters.
The controls were easy to learn and the dialogue was clear and humurous at times. Enjoyed the details of the crimes and how each character had their own unique part & past in the story. It's quite a trip to see the different facial expressions when talking or looking at people, nice use of technology. I must say I enjoyed playing through the story, but couldn't really push myself to going around and finding the hidden items and unlocking all the cars. Anyone with some time on their hands should check this out, wouldn't be a bad idea.
