This is my very first review so it might be a little rough. Green Lantern is actually a pretty fun movie game. I enjoyed my time with it, but it is definitely a rental game.
Story: Hal Jordan is on the planet Oa, the HQ for all Green Lanterns. You are attending Abin Sur's funeral. When, out of nowhere, Manhuters are attacking the planet. The Manhunters were created by the Guardians to be the original guardians of the universe, but something went wrong.
Overall: 7 out of 10, its a basic story that keeps your attention, its not Mass Effect quality but it gets the job done.
Graphics: 6 out of 10, Its ok, there are worse graphics then this game. Some frame-rate drops and screen tearing, but not game-breaking.
Sound: 8 out of 10, Reynolds gave a really good performance as Hal. Sinestro and Kilowog are also pretty good. Overall not too shabby. Some of the music is decent, but nothing truly memorable.
Gameplay: 8 out of 10, While playing as Jordan, you start off pretty slow with your moves but, later on you will be in a mech suit, using rocket launchers, and even throwing a jet. Gameplay is well varied, but it is mostly going through a straight path, except for finding health and ring power upgrades. There are also breaks from just walking to point A to point B. You will be solving some puzzles and going into a flight mode shooting baddies. Is a nice break, especially the flying levels.
Overall: 7.2, In terms of a movie game, its actually one of the better ones. You will have fun with game, but after you beat it, there is really nothing to do afterwards, except trying to get more trophies. You get the Emerald Knights and the live action Green Lantern trailers, which is nice. This is a perfect rental game for the reason that there is not a whole lot to do afterwards.
Thank you for reading.
