Amazing Action Game!

Played through the whole series for the first time over the last couple of weeks and this game is a dynamic conclusion to the series. Graphically there is no comparision to GOW 1 or 2 as this was created for PS3 to start with. The mini-game cut scenes were spectacular and improved upon greatly from the first two mainly by moving the button you have to press to the sides of the screen allowing you to simply use your peripheral vision to know what to press. Also, my chief complaint about the first two games was the lack of direction provided for puzzles, and GOW 3 added slight hints here and there to get you moving in the correct direction. The one downside was that this was several hours shorter than the first two (I completed it in 9 hours on the first time through). I will say, without providing any spoilers, that it is great to see an end to a trilogy that actually provides a definitive conclusion. There is no doubt at the end of this game that the storyline is complete. Overall a great gaming experience!

I waited for a couple years after the second GOW came out for this and I was not disappointed. I think that this was the best game of the series and if you havent played it you should. Awesome game.

The Best God of War Yet!

Kratos is back again and is the most brutal and angry than ever before! After the end of God of War II, Zeus escapes his death, and Olympia still stands in Kratos way. Kratos must destroy Zeus and get his retribution.
GAMEPLAY 10/10 - The controls to this game are mostly the same as I and II but the combos and moves seemed to be a little more fluid and smoother. Also, instead of just using the Blades of Exile for most or all of the game as in the previous ones, you now obtain several different weapons, all of them having their own unique abilities and magic/specials as well. The magic and specials are now neatly organized by the weapon it associates to, instead of scrolling with the D-pad for the right one, leaving you vulnerable to enemies. There is also relics that you can use throughout the game, and those have their own mana bar as well. The weapons are powerful and intense, as well as being able to use them for the right kind of enemies that are weak to their ability. Kratos also is more intense and kills everyone in his path and destroys pretty much everything in Olympia as well. This game makes you feel more badas than ever before and it's really enjoyable.
GRAPHICS 9/10 - The graphics of course were going to improve the others, but the detail and lighting of the III gives the game so much more justice than the others. The bosses are more fun to fight since they look realistic and it gives you the sense of what a God is like and how powerful they are. The enemies look a-lot better as well like the Medusa and Sirens.
SOUND 10/10 - The soundtrack is amazing like always. Also the sound of the blades are now more realistic; you can actually here the blades whirling through the air, and smashing against enemies. Some of the characters seem to have different voices now, except Kratos and Athena, but they are a perfect fit for them.
This game deserves a 10/10 because of its great storyline, graphics, and its huge improvements of controls and motion. MUST BUY
