Repetitive and a little boring...

Wow! A game where you can make dirt rise and fall while killing bad guys? WHAT A BRILLIANT IDEA! Why not throw in some amazingly lame cutscenes to bore everyone?
I wanted to like Fracture. I downloaded the demo and thought it was worthy of a rental. Sadly, the demo was the most fun part of the game.
I'm a huge shooter fan but found the AI to be rather poorly designed - especially when you have actual troop support! Your 'team' of soldier are incapable of hitting targets, killing bad guys on their own, or moving out of the way of fire. Several times, my fellow soldiers died within seconds of spawning.
Which is my next big issue - the game allows you to die, then respawn where you left off. Sounds great? It isn't. You can die so quickly in this game that you end up fighting the same bad guys over and over. Sometimes the enemies just stand there waiting for you to pop out of cover and sometimes they just surround you, wildly shooting with no ill effects on their compatriots on the other side.
And some characters? They can be shot over and over again with your high powered weapon. Punch them twice? They die. Shoot a clip into them? Better reload because they don't seem to feel the pain of the bullets/energy guns.
Sadly, this game loses on too many fronts to warrant a recommendation. Rent it if you want a mindless shooter that isn't much fun - this game is great for wasting time. Pass.
