This is a good game, but I lost my player game save.
I have been playing the game for two days as fettle, and I'm on the level when you take control of the mech on the bridge, and when the level is over fettle fall out of the mech and into the ocean, and then I saw this message you have not unlock something in the game and you will be sent back to the main menu, and my two days of playing with fettle is gone no save file, I did save the game I mean my ps3 was off yesterday and 3 hours ago, the only option I have is to replay the last mission with point-man or start a new game with fettle, what happen, I have fettle player score added to my total I'm almost at one million points, this game is definitely getting a zero on Gamefly, thank god I rented it, I was going to buy it, this stupid glitch, I never had a lost save on any of my ps3 games I have played, I mean the dam save file for fettle is gone my only option is to play all over again start from the beginning as fettle, COME ON, I cant even give this game a good Rating because of this glitch, I only beat it once as point man and I was going to beat it as fettle to see his ending, but I'm not starting all over again as fettle, wont take the risk of this glitch happening again on me, I know this glitch has to do with the game developers or the game update because I have played over 50 PS3 games and this has never happen to me.
First off, unlike the other FEAR games, this one actually feels like an FPS. Im not saying that the other ones didn't but since FEAR was originally out on PC before any platforms the first and second one just felt like I was playing on a PC, but not with FEAR 3. They have the physics worked so you feel like your moving the character. The shading and lighting are off the charts. This story fills in a lot of blanks and periodically takes you on a journey through flash backs. Alma is still scary as she has been. The story line is average length but a good script.
This was alright at time, but did not notice anyway to play "team deathmatch" like the other games had instead all I played was a knock off of Gears of War Hoard Mode. The game did make its own rules to this type of gameplay that make it better then Gears. Fog covers the ground level when enemies arive and it gets thicker and thicker the more waves of people you take out. As well as there is ammo crates you have to go out and grab to bring back to the "base." If you forget to do this durring the lull in enemies you will run out of ammo fast.....team playing has never been so easy. As well as here is a hint....if you see a red glowing dot in the distance DONT LOOK CLOSER.....Alma kills you instantly if you shoot her and if you walk up on here run and dont look she will teleport you away from eveyone else. This is not a good thing on lvl 9 with waves of enemies coming through the front door. Have fun and dont forget to have the lights off and the bass turned up.
Granted the other two were better as horror games, this is a solid game. The combat is both fluent and fun, and the audio is put together well enough so that if you are using good headphones you'll feel dumbstruck just by some of the noises. Although alot of people would say the graphics are not up to standard, I ask what standard? The graphic are not groundbreaking but they are fine. Pick this one up for a rental, 8 slo-mo headshots out of 10.
