F.E.A.R. 3 for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

Here we go again. In lieu of a good game we get BS and a lot of "do overs" in a video game that has all the making of a good game. Again I must slam any video game maker who refuses to put saves in the game except where they want to. This tells me the game is short and the content is lacking! We are playing this game not YOU! Nobody wants to do a level 100 times b4 getting thru it! The game is for mature audiences which means most are over thirty and dont want to keep starting over. Some assemblance of realism has to permeate the game even if it is a fantasy. When I get a shot on a guy he needs to go down. It should not take a whole clip! Another clue to knowing it is BS is wave after wave of enemies. On one level I killed 40 -50 guys, C'mon enough already. Because of the steep prices the only people buying video games are real gamers and we cant be fooled! The first video game was 1973, I was there. I think that says it all!

I am still playing through as I have been hopping back and forth, playing each section again as the secondary character and just too improve my score. Pre-ordered on Amazon which gave me $20 back in credit with this purchase so I was not worried about getting my $$$ worth, but honestly would have been fine with the $60 as I am getting plenty of play for my $$. It may have helped that I was looking for a straight shooter after being disappointed with Brink. I hope some friends get this game so I can play co-op missions with them even though there are enough randoms online to get good games going and 4 different game types to squad up for.
So far not that scary, good sound effects but nothing really freaky yet. I feel like it is a solid 8 for a shooter but a 7 as a horror shooter if you are looking for the "fear" factor. Grenade throwing is sketchy AI is not as bad as some I have seen but still predictable.
So there is nothing really new at all with this game just nice combination of things that you have seen before if you like shooters. As some have said graphics are nothing to brag about but solid enough with not to many hick-ups but I gotta say to developers we have seen enough staged bloody rooms-not scary.
Really enjoyed the challenging game play overall and the scoring/leveling system which made me want to replay areas and improve/try new things. If you like to blow through games you may not like this as it is not the longest but still reasonably so compared to others and if you like multiplayer games you will make up the difference there.
Rent it if unsure then decide but I am glad I bought it.
