If you liked Fire Emblem, Jean 'D Arc, or Final fantasy tactics. You will find this game to be pretty awesome.

This game has a really low Gamefly Rating, and thus I would keep pushing it down down down into the depths of my queue. Imagine my surprise when I found it to be an artful strategy game that was highly addicting.

The good:
The strategy in this game is top-knotch. Side-objectives keep the player very busy and thinking intensely. You see, not only do you need to kill your enemies in this game, but you need to Overkill them. Each monster has an Overkill objective in which you are supposed to do X damage past zero, to bind them and finally capture them to sell for money, items, turn into skills or even use in combat. So for example a monster's Overkill point could be -90 HP. This Overkill thing is not as easy as it seems. It is very challenging to Overkill and capture every monster on the map. One must usually employ their toughest fighters or mages, as well combo attacks.(A tricky maneuver performed only by first wasting your turns with two characters so they can later combo together) Perfecting this art took me more than one play through.

In fact, that's the 2nd great thing about this game is its so easy to play through again. There are a total of 5 scenarios you can start the game with, 3 standard ones, and 2 unlockable ones. Each scenario plays very differently, and quite frequently includes completely different maps and enemies.

The bad:
Inventory and menus are horrible in this game. It is difficult to view all your stats in any one part of the game. While shopping, I had to often go back to the inn just to view certain stats, so I could see what gear I needed.

This game has a horrible loading time for battle animations. The character renderings are pretty good too, so its too bad that most people will spend their time in this game with this option disabled. I only turned battled animations on for boss fights.

Like FF Tactics, but better music, graphics and longer battles. Each attack changes the screen. Takes a while to get passed the battles and to the real story.

the story is ok and the graphics aren't to bad but the game is very repetitive to be fun for any extended period of time.
