A real let down.

Now, I'm a huge DBZ fan, I've been playing nearly every game that came out. Ultimate Tenkaichi looks solid on a first impression, but the more you play you realize you're literally doing the same, exact, thing. It doesn't matter what character you're playing, They all do the same exact moves, excluding the super moves, the super moves are all that set each character apart.
The battle system is drivin' fully on luck, a 2 button rush or smash system, if your opponent hits the same button as you durring the clash, he will counter you.
As a die hard DBZ fan, I had a hard time letting this one go so easy, the main reason I sent it back was the hero mode. Standard heroes can have almost all special moves, as the light and heavy have very, VERY limited choices of special moves. Example A: Standard hero can have around 30 different ultimate attacks, Light hero can only get 5, this was a huge let down.
I was looking passed the simple fighting system for creating my own character, but with the standard hero getting all of the customization and the others don't get much at all, I couldn't play it much longer.
The game's graphics are solid, the sounds are as good as they've always been. The story is actually being told believe it or not! Hero mode even has it's own story. I give the game a 4 out of 10 simply because the lack of customization and the battle system.
