From a Man to a Champion

Dragon Age 2 is another rpg hit from bioware. With some big upgrades and a different story from the first game. The story starts off with your character, who is named Hawke, trying to get his family out of Lothering, which if you played the first was destroyed by the Blight. They escape to the city of Kirkwall which is like the home base of the Templars. With no coin, Hawke tries to make a name for himself by accomplishing difficult tasks to help his family survive in the city. Even when the Blight is over Hawke still remains in Kirkwall. The main point is to become the Champion of Kirkwall.
The Gameplay is very different from the first Dragon Age. You dont just press a button and your character attacks, this time you need to to move around more and you need to keeping pressing buttons to attack. You still have special moves and leveling up is easier too. You can customize your character by being a boy or girl. There are 3 classes. First is warrior, which is more for strength and defense in case of tough enemies. Second is Rogue, which does not have a good defense but makes up for it with speed and attack. Also you can enter stealth to escape enemies and heal. Rogue is my favorite. Last is the Mage which wasnt a very easy class in the first game. The mage is now a lot easier to control and their magic attacks are even stronger than most of your other characters, but has the weakest defense. I did not like Mage before and now I enjoy it. You can also import the choices you made from the first Dragon Age.
The bad part about this game is that you stay in Kirkwall and dont go anywhere else. You see a lot of the same areas. There are also a few bugs in the game but I am pretty sure that Bioware will fix them. If get past all that it is actually really good. I have already beaten it twice and I am gonna do a another playthrough. I would rent this first because there is so much of a difference between this one and the first but I still enjoy it.

All I have to say is wow, this game is amazing, i was hooked from the very beginning. I'm a huge RPG fan and am very unhappy about the library of RPGS for the 360 but the withe the addition of DA:2 there is a little more happiness in my heart. I'm on my second play through and I see many more play throughs in my future with this title. It's a sure buy but rent it if you don't believe me.

good but not a strong bioware title

Straight to point:

Gameplay at times was too fast paced for micro.

Story was good but not as much in depth like DA:O.

Most of the game had repetitive caves and repeated areas.

Bioware gives the enemy too much health (even on normal) took me 30 mins to kill the high dragon. The dragon was easy but took forever to kill.

Worst part for me was you have to go to a character's hangout just to have a conversation with them.

Other than that this game did have its fun parts like seeing familiar characters and all of the occasional great things you can do in bioware games. DA2 gets a solid 7 from me
